Ohana

I wasn't there, but being in the middle of them was like a mini reincarnation. Even though I was on the screen, on Skype that is; seeing everyone else passed by and made short stops just to say hi, was flattering. Earlier, I called my sister and made a request to put her laptop on the table in the middle of the crowd so that I could see all that was happening in the house. The whole family was there, my aunts, my uncles, the babies, cousins, newly weds, all of them. They gathered for my parents' kenduri. At 3am, the energy I gained was overwhelming, unstoppable, unbearable. I couldn't fall asleep, even though I woke up early for my 830am class this morning. I didn't feel tired at all. My eyes were heavy in tears, seeing Opah as healthy as ever, my bubbly Opah Chik, Mak, Ayah, Nani, Ya, Adik and Abang. Abang even stopped for 15minutes in front of the laptop just to say hi to me. We made a deal over a pair of Onitsuka Tiger sneakers. It was amazing. Amazing amazing. Watching the whole family's in action, feels surreal to me. The sisters' laughing, mother being busy and father as the classy host, my heart just flattened.

This undying love, is nowhere else.
