Baking and Nanue never got along well. I CANNOT BAKE.
Yes, that critical. History has it. I made several attempts at baking, be it cookies or cakes or pudding for the past 10 years. It never worked. Unlike Aini and Mira and Fana, they can all bake. While my cooking is nothing but stellar, I jumped into a conclusion that I cannot bake because I can cook like a dream (masuk bakul angkat sendiri, lempanglah saya kanan dan kiri). Isn't it obvious? We need balance and Zen in this world. It won't be unfair for the rest of the population if I could cook and bake don't you think? *flips hair innocently*

So, I started to be immensely convinced that my default setting was to never bake. We never had a good term because clearly, there's several unresolved issues between us. But today, I've decided to come clean with it and so, we got on a fight at 1380, Prince of Wales here in Ottawa.

I attempted to make Caramel Croissant Pudding. It was easy though, I mean; the protocol of the recipe. Baby steps, Nanue. Baby steps, I thought. So, after a grueling 40 minutes on the kitchen counter:

I have officially overcame the fear of a failed pudding!

Pudding, defeated.
Next up: Cookies, pastries and cakes.
